I am so pissed at Jeff M. I got to the bar at 10:30 am to relieve him ( we started 24 hour service for Mardi Gras). He wouldn’t leave. So I stayed with him around the bar for 5 hours and then I left. Well it took me over an hour to get home and I ate and packed for my vacation. Well I just found out that he ended up crashing and Chantel came on early for him. I am so pissed. The manager’s know that if I go down to the bar and tell them to leave I will stay. I fully intended to work 8 hours so that they would have a rest. He wouldn’t use my help and now he’s tired and Chantel is tired too. That’s it. I’m home and getting ready for vacation. He fucked up.
On a funny note. The Coyote Ugly truck is being used as a VIP section in front of the bar. I took pictures because I knew Kevin B. would fly off the handle when he found out and I found some perverse joy in knowing he would flip. ( he seems to have become the guardian of the truck. He loses his cool when he finds out the truck isn’t parked safely or someone didn’t get the oil changed etc. Of course he is the only one who has had a fender bender in it, but we’re not allowed to talk about that)There was actually a waiting list to sit in back of the truck. Is fun to see all the girls and bouncers from the different bars working in New Orleans. Man, Paul, the barback from Nashville is good. He is working his ass off.
Good Luck everyone. I’m officially on vacation!

My head is pounding. Way too many Crowns last night. I would like to officially blame Jacqui, I blame Julie, I blame Jacob, I blame all the out of town staff, and finally I blame Nihjai ( shut up I know I spelled it wrong but what the fuck). I could not have a worse hang over and it’s so nice to know that I am the day manager today. And the worst is that I have to show up with food at Jackson’s school in a half an hour for their big Mardi Gras party. “OK Advil Please work”

Yesterday we did this photoshoot. Man talk about walking in on top of the world and walking out with your tail between your legs. Well it was just a bad day for a few of us. Last night I was with Chantel and Cyndi. Chantel got stung by a bug in the eye and her eye started swelling up like a grapefruit. We all just started laughing. It had been such an emotional day and that actually brought so much levity into the whole situation. We all started taking pictures of her eye. I said ” It may seem like a bad memory but you’ll look back and laugh.” Chantel was a really good sport about it.
Today my imported staff comes into New Orleans. I’m very excited. I actually slept 8 hours ( help of sominex). So I’m feeling pretty good.
3 days till my vacation!!!

I have definitely been off the last few weeks. Today I woke up in a really sour mood. Well I walked Jackson to school and noticed that all the spring flowers are blooming. It definitely changed my outlook for the day.
4 Days until my vacation. I can’t wait. I think I am more excited then Jackson.
Very hot day in New Orleans today. I have no funny stories today. Peace and tranquilty.
Jackson and I are going to garden today. I’m not sure really how to garden but I’ll buy a book and some plants and as god as my witness I will transform my house into the botanical gardens.

Unfortunately Ft. Lauderdale had it’s first slow night yesterday. I am sitting in my office with hundreds of pieces of mail. God damn I wish I had an assistant again. I keep on procrastinating because I am so tired of paying bills. The more you have the more you spend. Can’t anyone just send me a card?
As a joke yesterday jacqui and I told Will, the bouncer, that she was 50 years old and that I was 46. To my dismay, he actually believed us. Right now I am still in my 30’s. But these kids couldn’t tell 35 from 50. They really can’t. And similarly I can no longer tell an 18 year old from a 21 year old. Usually the painful stories about their high school pranks gives it away.
In Lee’s words I am feeling very salty today.
I’ve got no good stories. KC is a pain in my ass. Some jerk on the liquor board called the local newspaper and said we were very close to being soft porn. Well obviously this guy doesn’t get out much.
As the saying goes, “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”

It’s nice to know that I have hired someone who is mentally challenged. The GM of Denver , Brian wrote me a letter yesterday. I’ll summerize. ” Dear Lil, Someone forgot to turn off a faucet behind the bar last night. It flooded the bar which in turn flooded the store underneath us.” It must be the lack of oxygen because Denver is a mile over sea level, people just don’t think clearly. So now we are going to have to pay for the repair work downstairs. CRAP
Last night I could not be prouder of the New Orleans girls. They really shined. Everyone of them. It almost felt back to normal last night. So nice to see people in the city. I took Jacqui to a few of the really badly devastated areas today. She was shocked. I also showed her my street and that I live less then 10 blocks away from homes that were destroyed. Makes you realize how lucky you are.

Amazing how a perfectly good day can turn sour. I woke up in a very good mood this morning but everyone around me except my son has been so negative. It’s hard to shake that off.
On a good note my son decided to roll completely in mud and he played for an hour in mulch having contests about who was dirtiest. He has his mother’s competitive spirit and won! But I left my car at school and we walked home so that he wouldn’t ruin the inside of the car.
I do not want to jinx this but the Ft. Lauderdale bar is kicking butt!!!
Why is it February and it’s 75 degrees? Wacko winter in New Orleans

On a good note. I want to commend Addrianna and Esther. I can’t tell you how many letters of praise I am getting about the Ft. Lauderdale girls. Great job. I am so happy. Nice numbers too.
Finally we have a full roster for Mardi Gras. Thanks to Austin, San Antonio, and Nashville we will be able to run 24 hours like we always do! Great.

I have been in San Antonio for the last three days. I can’t express how dissappointed I am. Friday day shift the girls were just horrible, no energy no pizzazz. Last night I had a film crew in filming the girls. They couldn’t have embarrassed me more. I was up all night upset over it.
Trying to recruit more girls for Mardi Gras. Sometimes life doesn’t get any easier.
On a good note, my son is with me and he is so beautiful and sweet. I told his nanny to bring him by the bar this morning so that I can hug him.
Friday night Jackson, Chantel, Cyndi and I went out for dinner. Chantel said to Jackson ” Hey come over here I have a secret to tell you.” Jackson went over there and Chantel leaned in to whisper in his ear. When she leaned down she burped right in his ear. His response to that ” I think I’m in love.”

I just figured out that I have traveled for work 21 out of the last 28 days. I’m old. Old people shouldn’t be traveling so much! Well I booked my vacation so that Jackson and I can go skiing. I can’t wait.
New Orleans employee meeting tonight. We are going to make it through Mardi Gras by the skin of our teeth. Ft. Lauderdale holding strong. Great numbers.
Going to San Antonio this weekend. This is my last scheduled trip before my vacation. Thank god. Also thank you Charissa and Kelly. They went to the Watermark to apologise. I’m so happy because I will be staying there this weekend and I didn’t want to hear any crap from the conciege. That is my favorite hotel to stay in when I go away. The Atlantic in Ft. Lauderdale was nice as well . I’m so tired but I have an appointment in an half an hour so I better get my shit together.

God Damn Omar!! He is the head of the kitchen in Nashville. I have told him from day 1 how to make the chicken wings. He refuses to do them the right way. They are Buffalo Chicken Wings. I have been to Buffalo a million times, I know how to make wings properly. He doesn’t fry them long enough and the sauce has absolutly no kick. Today we are having a cook off. If people like my wings better he has to stick to my recipe. He said ” I’m not scared.” My response was ” I tasted your wings last night, I have no doubt I’m winning this!” 1 year yelling at him about this. Thank god I at least got him to stop battering them first. YOU NEVER BATTER CHICKEN WINGS! Damn unamerican.
1 more day then I get to go home. I miss Jackson so much!

I’m in my hotel in NY. So weird being in a hotel in Ny when this was my home for so many years. Spent the day at the NY bar met the new girl Samantha. Very good dancer. Of course Jacqui and I went to dinner and drank way too much wine. We must of looked really attractive with blue teeth after all the red wine.
The NY bar is falling apart. The landlord is such an asshole I keep telling Jacqui just patch things up. I don’t want to increase the value of his property. The lease is up in a couple of years I have no doubt he will try to increase the rent to some unbelievably ridiculous amount. The last time I spoke with the landlord he said ” nice to finally meet you” My response ” I’ve met you a million times Mr. …” He used to come into the bar and ask the girls to see the owner. I would be standing right there but he wouldn’t acknowledge me. I finally stopped getting insulted and would send my ex to speak to him because I knew he could not understand that a woman was in charge.
Off to Nashville today.

I know I’m a trader. They opened 1 starbucks about 2 miles from my house. So out of sheer desperation I went and got myself the new Cinnamon Dolce Latte. Yes it was delicious. But I was supposed to boycott Starbucks in New Orleans. I wish with all my heart that my local coffee shop served coffee in the same delicious manner that Starbucks does! Damn them with their addictive lattes and frappiccinos!!
I’m going on my 8th day with less then 3 hours of sleep a night. So I am on the edge of craziness today. The other day Jacob stoppped by and said ” Can I talk to the other Lil” Very funny. OK I’m a little nuts right now.
Again San Antonio and ft. Lauderdale rocking!!! Off to NY tomorrow.

I just got an e-mail from Lee saying that last night on the show ” Dog the Bounty Hunter” the main character ” Dog”, arrested a girl in a pink Coyote Ugly tank top and a Coyote Ugly truckers hat. I couldn’t be prouder. At least my merchendise is worn by all the right people.
Ft. Lauderdale and San Antonio kicking butt early in the week!! I really have nothing to say. Nothing new today
