Coyote of the Month Coyote of the Month
July 2011
Erika, Denver
Erika is everything you could ask for in a Coyote and sooooo much more. Her energy, mic work, entertainment and bartending skills are ones to be copied for any girl that wants to be an amazing Coyote. In addition to that, she is also a Head Coyote doing schedules, helping with training, and being a great teacher every time we hire in a new employee. She travels all the time to help not just our store, but the entire company. Erika is someone who does all of this and still finds time to be a great person. She never says she can’t get something done!

What’s the most fun about your job at Coyote Ugly?
I get to sling drinks, laugh with customers/friends, and make money doing it. Nothing can get much better. Also, all the traveling experiences I’ve been a part of for the entire Coyote Ugly Saloon company… I’ve met some of my very best friends, and I have a Coyote family for life! Don’t miss me at Sturgis again this year!
What makes you a good Coyote?
I’m a hard worker, and I am a perfectionist. I also don’t take no for an answer. “”Anyone want a body shot with me…?””
How long have you been a bartender?
I’ve been bartender for 4.5 years, pretty much the span of my Coyote life. 🙂
What do you like to do on your off time?
Time off…? LOL! Doesn’t happen. If I’m not workin’ at the Ugly, I’m working at my internship. I want to be an Event Coordinator someday.
What is your favorite type of music?
I’m a huge Dave Matthews fan!!! Also, if you want to make me smile, play UB40’s “”Red Red Wine.”” All my regulars know.
Do you think the movie is anything like the real thing?
At times it definitely feels like I’m living in the shoes of a Coyote from the movie. Here’s the thing, we don’t get 50 takes to get it right, we do it right the first time around. When people ask what I do, I ask, “”Have you seen the movie? That’s what I do without a film crew.””
Why should a potential customer come and visit you?
Why not…? I’m fun, energetic, and can make anyone laugh.
Do you have any advice for women who want to be a Coyote?
YES! I tell all my new girls this. I can teach a girl how to bartend, I can’t teach a personality. So be your fun self that you know you can be! Don’t be scared, and, if you don’t try, then you’ll never know what may happen.
