Coyote of the Month Coyote of the Month
May 2018
Jesse, New York City
Jesse came to us all the way from Alaska. Oh so sweet, and then she went on the bar!!! From splits to flips… If you are lucky enough to be at her shift, you will get an aerial show that’s breathtaking.
Hometown: Haines, Alaska
What’s the most fun about your job at Coyote Ugly?
Getting to walk in, be myself, and dance all night. It’s a literal dream job.
What makes you a good Coyote?
I like to make people feel welcome. And I love women. Nothing makes me happier than women at the bar saying that, at my shift, they got to feel like Tyra Banks, or like the most exciting, beautiful person in the room. Because thats how I see women.
How long have you been a bartender?
My first bartending job was actually over last summer, at the Pioneer Bar in Alaska. I have the sense that on crazier nights I may have served literal bears beer.
What do you like to do on your off time?
I usually head off to a circus space to work on my lyra, and on weekends you can usually catch me dancing and singing at cabarets.
What is your favorite type of music?
Tough call… I’d have to say for dancing, I like classic rock (the clash gets me going every time), but I love nothing more than grabbing a guitar and singing some blues.
Do you think the movie is anything like the real thing?
Yes. I think the personality of the establishment is so much like the film. The tough love, the absolute dedication to the bar by the women working in it…this is the most brilliant, encouraging, tenacious group of women I’ve ever met. Whether its 5 pm on a Wednesday or 3 am on a Saturday, you’re going to have a fun time.
Why should a potential customer come and visit you?
I will be the best friend you need in any situation. You wanna talk shit? Lets talk shit. Want to get up and dance for two hours like no ones watching? Girl, get on that bartop and let me buy you a shot.
Do you have any advice for women who want to be a Coyote?
Be yourself, and have fun. Simple but true. You’re at your best when you’re being true to you and letting loose.
