I am in New Orleans. Half Ironman is on Sunday. It hailed two days ago here and the weather is currently awful. I already made the internal decision that I will only do the run if they cancel the swim. No need to kill myself on the bike in the rain if it's not the full 70.3 miles. Wonderful night with Dinesti tonight. We went to this restaurant called " Top of the Market". ( San Diego). The location was awesome. The restaurant looks over the San Diego bay and the USS Midway aircraft carrier. Pretty cool!!! But the food was about as mediocre as it comes. Totally unimpressed. Bars are all over the place this weekend in regards to numbers. I am on a mission to get the OKC staff in a better place. Trying to find a half marathon for them to enter with me. This is on 2nd ave right off of St. Marks ( 8th St). The NYC bar is on 1st Ave between 9th and 10th. So scary. It's just amazing that there weren't more fatalities . Building exploded only 3 blocks from the NYC bar. So scary. Supposedly a gas leak. I remember after 9/11 there was a layer of dust everywhere.
