Coyote of the Month Coyote of the Month

Shawna, Memphis
Hometown: Sunny California, but I have lived in Memphis for the past 15 years.
What’s the most fun about your job at Coyote Ugly?
There are so many wonderful things about being a Coyote. I get to be myself and have the best time of my life just working. I love making women feel special and sexy because no matter what, every woman is beautiful in her own way. I also love the people I work with, not only are they great co-workers but they are my second family.
What makes you a good Coyote?
No matter what night it is, I always put my heart and all of my energy into entertaining and slinging drinks. I am always moving, laughing, dancing my ass off, and making men and women always come back wanting more!
How long have you been a bartender?
Only as long as I have been a Coyote, so about almost 3 years.
What do you like to do on your off time?
I am either at school, studying, at my internship, or volunteering for Make-A-Wish Foundation. Other than that I am either spending time with my family, friends (my fellow co-workers), relaxing, or just reading a book.
What is your favorite type of music?
Anyone who works with me knows this answer: AC/DC and Kid Rock; I grew up listening to classic rock. When I am at work I love dancing to rock and pop, but when I am out dancing with my girls is has to be hip-hop!
Do you think the movie is anything like the real thing?
I think it gives you an idea of what our lives are like; however, there is nothing like actually experiencing the girls dancing and slinging drinks all while having a blast and making their customers have the time of their life!
Why should a potential customer come and visit you?
I am always there ready to have a great time and make my customers enjoy their experience. I am constantly having fun, getting wild, and connecting with my customers on a different level.
Do you have any advice for women who want to be a Coyote?
Confidence is the key. Be ready to work your ass off and have your body constantly ache. The Coyotes who put their heart, soul, and dedication into it are usually the best ones!
