Melissa is the ultimate example of what being a Coyote and great team member means. She is the mother of 4 kids, the wife of an active duty Marine Gunnary Sergeant, daytime office manager of a local roofing company, and an amazing Coyote. She takes it upon herself to organize weekly getogethers at her house to help train the newer Coyotes in all the dances, she takes great pride in the upkeep and cleanliness of the bar. She is constantly keeping the drink recipes and shot recipes up to date and laminated. Melissa is also an incredible mentor to the younger girls, really being there for them for anything they need. She is able to do all of this for us, while also dealing with a very young daughter that has serious health issues that require a lot of doctors visits and hospital time. I couldn’t ask for a better employee.

What’s the most fun about your job at Coyote Ugly?
I would say the most fun about my job is laughing and getting to know our customers. The Destin Coyotes are extremely close, and we have a blast being the hosts of a party every night! Knowing that people leave with a memorable evening is the best part!

What makes you a good Coyote?
Probably my eagerness to keep learning better ways to entertain the crowd and my ability to feel out what will get everyone to have an amazing experience! From the time you walk in the door to the time you leave, I will make sure you have a delicious drink in your hand and a smile on your face!

How long have you been a bartender?
I’ve been a bartender off and on for 15 years.

What do you like to do on your off time?
Crafting and looking for the next adventure with my family!

What is your favorite type of music?
I have a love for all music but if I had to choose, it would be country

Do you think the movie is anything like the real thing?
The movie is a pretty good depiction, but there is nothing like the real thing!

Why should a potential customer come and visit you?
Why would you go to any other bar to sit around and stare at each other? At Coyote Ugly you become part of the party! One thing Coyotes love to do is get the crowd involved! I promise, it is an experience unlike any other! THAT is why we are the most famous bar on the planet…. PERIOD!

Do you have any advice for women who want to be a Coyote?
What are you waiting for?!?! Be confident in yourself, don’t be afraid to be different. One of the best things about being a coyote is each of us brings something special to the show. I promise, you will have the time of your life!
