Coyote of the Month Coyote of the Month

Melva is our location’s dance captain, and she has just been doing an awesome job lately with training the girls and dance practice. She’s very outspoken, yet humble, and is always making sure everyone is involved. Melva makes an amazing Coyote, and everyone loves to come when she’s here, either if it’s just her or her and 3 others, she is the person that these girls look up to. She is a true definition of her role as head bartender and a leader among us all.

What’s the most fun about your job at Coyote Ugly?
Most fun about my job would have to be being a Coyote… period! Being able to set a tempo of a crowd to doing a choreograph Coyote original dance is literally crazy fun. Meeting new people and dancing with beautiful women on top of a bar, what more could I ask for!!! Being a coyote you make the party for people who come to party! Believe when I say we have fun !!!

What makes you a good Coyote?
I set aside personal goals and work towards them. I’m confident in myself but also humble. My dancing is crazy! I do my best to make sure everyone that visit coyote has a good memory to tell !

How long have you been a bartender?
3 years ! I learned everything through Coyote!

What do you like to do on your off time?
When I’m off you can catch me running or riding my bike downtown. Also in somebody’s mirror dancing. I love recreating clothes… so if I’m home a pair of scissors are near! And I multitask watching tv and sleeping ! How could I forget eating !

What is your favorite type of music?
There’s no way I can just pick one!! I LOVE MUSIC… period !

Do you think the movie is anything like the real thing?
The movie is indeed like the real thing ! From the women empowerment to the “Hell No H20” ! You won’t get the experience you get at Coyote and any other bar! All I need is rail on the ceiling low enough that I can swing on !

Why should a potential customer come and visit you?
Guess what I think they shouldn’t unless they plan on getting stuck at the bar all day and night partying with me! You wouldn’t want to leave me and I wouldn’t let you go without a dance with a drink in your hand !

Do you have any advice for women who want to be a Coyote?
Everyone has something unique about themselves and Coyote will pull it out of you! Being a coyote you have to set aside self and think about all the many people who come in to party, drink, dance, or even just look and try to give them the experience they want! It won’t be easy but nothing that’s worth it ever is! You don’t know where Coyote could take you just be ready to ride !!!
